We are on official DHIA test and in 2019 our herd of 250 (100 of which were yearlings) averaged 11-12.1 lbs from March to October. In November they averaged 9.8 lbs and they ended the year with a rolling herd average of 3514 lbs in December. In 2018 we milked 220 does (50 were yearlings) and they averaged 11-11.5 lbs from April through August with a 10 and 10.5 lb average in March and September. At the end of December 2018 our rolling herd average was 2979 lbs. Our whole herd tested negative for CAE, TB, Brucellosis, and CL in 2016. We also practice strict bio security and pasteurize all milk fed to doelings. We quarantine incoming animals and test them before they enter the herd. Doelings are $150 at 2-3 weeks old.
