See more LLAMASJoseph is a wonderful, beautifully colored male Suri llama. He was born September 2012. We originally bought him as a guard llama for our goats, and he has done well, although he is not a really aggressive guardian. He does stand up to strange dogs, from what I've seen. The reason we are selling him is because I had never owned llamas in the past, and I didn't realize I was letting him get too thin until I had a vet check him. I feel like he would be better appreciated and cared for by someone familiar with llamas. I've kept up with trimming his feet and deworming him, but he should get more grain and we don't have a good separate place to feed him, away from the goats. Joseph is quiet to handle but not really attention-seeking. He walks and ties with a lead, and stands well for his feet to be checked. I was told by the breeder he has exceptional fiber, but he has gotten into some burrs in our woods. I'm only asking what we paid for Joseph from the breeder, $500. I hope he can find a great home! He is not gelded but shows no signs of male llama tendencies. (The pictures below are from last summer, I can get more current pictures, just ask if interested!) |
